What is Total Refractories Management (TRM)?

The TRM business mode regards cost performance as a standard, by which all the refractories used in thermal facilities are under contract. The contractor will be responsible not only for supplying materials, but also for dismantling, installation, and maintenance of refractories, and the refractories management during the whole process. The contractor will be paid according to ton of hot metal or the heats. This mode will motivate refractory manufacturers to develop new materials, improve the performance and prolong the service life, which will promote the advance of refractory technology and improve the refractory application efficiency to the greatest extent. At the same time, it can save a lot of administration and production cost for the steel plants, and meet the needs of cost decreasing and benefit increasing requested by steel plants in the fierce competition.
